The mission of Citrus Middle School, in partnership with the family and community, is to provide a rigorous and positive learning environment.
All students are expected to meet district, state, and national standards to achieve personal and academic growth. We commit to providing a comprehensive system of individualized support, interventions, and opportunities to ensure that all students can succeed.

Students will increase a minimum of one performance level per year
English learners will increase a minimum of one language proficiency level per year until reclassified
97.4% yearly attendance
We will provide a safe school environment by establishing, modeling, and promoting schoolwide standards for appropriate academic and social growth.
We will respect students' opinions and values while cultivating excellent character and high academic standards. We will provide successful learning experiences to help students attain self-confidence. We will promote community change by providing opportunities for service learning.
We will provide standards-based instruction that targets the diverse needs and strengths of our students, using a variety of effective strategies which promote higher-level thinking and real-world problem solving skills. We will model life-long learning through our own professional growth.
We will create an optimal learning environment by communicating regularly with families and the community about the progress of students and in working with colleagues to reflect on and improve best practices.
