Home-Based Learning Extended through May 1

In response to on-going efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) KCUSD administrators and board members, at the guidance of local health officials and in collaboration with neighboring school districts, have decided that all KCUSD schools will continue home-based learning through Friday, May 1. At the present time it is our hope to reopen schools to students on Monday, May 4. All services that are currently being provided, such as meals and social-emotional support will continue through May 1. Schools will be closed and services will be stopped during our regularly scheduled Spring Break, April 6 - April 13, and will resume Tuesday, April 14.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Per Superintendent Campbell's message dated 3-18-20 a "shelter in place" order does not apply to the essential functions being provided by KCUSD. The delivery of high-quality education through distance learning and the preparation and delivery of meals are considered essential functions.

KCUSD, in collaboration with the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools and the Fresno County Department of Public Health, continues to monitor the developments related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). For updates related to this topic please select the title above "COVID-19."
